1. What is meant by a Virgin ink cartridge?
The term virgin means that the cartridge has never been refilled or has not been remanufactured. The cartridge losses value once it has been refilled or remanufactured. These cartridges can still be recycled through our program, but will receive reduced or no credit.
2. How can I tell if my cartridge is remanufactured or refilled?
Most manufacturers place their label directly on the cartridge. Look for any labels that may not the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). Also, look for small drill holes or cap attached with tape.
3. How long will it take to receive my money?
Once we receive your shipment of cartridges they must be processed, inventoried and inspected for defects. Please allow for the time it takes to reach our facility and undergo this process. Payments are processed within 4-6 weeks after receipt of a shipment.
4. How much money can my business/organization expect to earn?
The great thing about this program is that there is absolutely no limit to the amount of money you or your organization can earn. Your success depends upon your effort and how effectively you promote your recycling or fundraising drive. We stand ready to assist you along the entire process.
5. What cartridges are accepted?
We are currently accepting all inkjet cartridges. Not all cartridges have monetary value but will be recycled. Please check our Pricelist to determine the value of your cartridges.
6. How does the recycling center know which cartridges are from me/our organization?
Once you have enrolled through the Sign Up section of our website, you will receive a free Recycling Kit and will be issued an account number. This account number must be clearly visible on the box for you to receive credit. You will also receive prepaid FedEx labels that you will affix to your shipment. Drop off your package at and FedEx location and the package will automatically be routed to our facility. Any cartridges received using these materials will be credited to your account.
7. We want to use this program as a fundraiser for our organization. What are the advantages over a traditional fundraising program?
Recycling through our program is easy to start and implement. There are no start up costs, no inventory and no hard selling. Once you start the program it becomes practically a self-sustaining source of year-long fundraising. Best of all, you can make a positive contribution to helping reduce the amount of solid waste ending up in landfills.
8. Does your company pay for shipping?
Yes, Ink Ventures, LLC will provide you with postage paid FedEx labels to ship your cartridges for credit. Laser cartridges will not be accepted under any circumstances.
9. Is there a minimum required number of inkjet cartridges that must be sent?
Yes. Currently we are not accepting shipments of less than 500 cartridges.
10. Where do I ship my cartridges?
The recycling center address is printed on our preprinted labels. You can order additional supplies by calling us at 1-866-481-2634 or visiting our website at www.inrecyclers.com/ordersupplies.
11. How do I pack the cartridges so they are not damaged during shipping?
Your recycling kit should include a how to pack your cartridges to avoid the chance of damage in shipping. We would suggest you pack the inkjet cartridge in plastic bags to reduce leakage and to protect the printheads of the cartridges. You can use bubble wrap or newspaper as packing materials for your box.
12. What happens if cartridges are damaged or lost during shipping?
If your cartridges are damaged or lost in shipment we can help you file a claim with the shipping company. Ink Ventures, LLC will not be held responsible for any cartridges that are damaged due to improper packaging/handling prior to shipment. No credit will be received for damaged cartridges.
13. Do you guarantee payment for all cartridges sent?
All inkjet cartridges will be accepted. We periodically update our current pricelists to reflect market values. You will receive a detailed account of all cartridges that are/not accepted and their monetary values.
